We are made of the same MATERIAL of dreams

From Sicam a reflection on material research paths

Today material truly represents the key element for personalizing a kitchen, through research processes that combine aesthetics with functionality. This was confirmed at the latest edition of Sicam, where materials and finishes emerged as the real protagonists. Whether natural or engineered, ceramic or melamine-based, the goal is to establish a distinct character through a strong, authentic identity. For this very reason, products proposals have evolved into comprehensive, integrated platforms, available for companies and designers to create increasingly personalized and cohesive spaces.

ABK Stone

Materia is an ABK Group brand specializing in the production of large-format ceramic slabs, designed for interior design, the creation of bathroom and kitchen countertops, and various furnishing elements. A revolutionary production facility enables the creation of ceramic reproductions of marble with an unprecedented level of realism, thanks to the exclusive FullVein3D technology. It graphically reproduces veining, with perfect continuity, throughout the entire thickness of the slab —just in natural material. Among the innovations, we can find also the new "antique" bush-hammered finish, which simulates the natural wear and tear of authentic stone, achieving a high degree of aesthetic realism, interesting both at the touch and for the eye.

Acheruntiaglass

With Acheruntiaglass’s Metaglass surfaces, texturing is not limited to the visible face. In the monolithic element, the pattern is continuous passing across five sides, extending to the sixth via an innovative back-printing technique; surfaces, doors, and side panels are perceived as a single, unified volume carved from the material.

Atlas Plan

Monolite is a new project developed by Atlas Plan and Emporio Skin that integrates porcelain stoneware surfaces with melamine-faced fronts, perfectly coordinated in terms of decor, color, and finish, thereby eliminating any visual distinction between the surfaces. Designed for kitchens and commercial spaces, this solution streamlines the design process by offering a unified, coherent system. Among the new products unveiled at Sicam are ten large-format slabs, spanning the marble-effect Marvel Next, stone-effect Nyra Utopia, and concrete-effect Boost Hux collections. A standout innovation is the Natura-Body technology, which ensures complete uniformity — both in the material and across the surface — even along edges, cuts, and machined areas, further enhancing the product's realism and aesthetic quality.

Infinity Surfaces

Nacra Bronze (from the Arkeon collection) by Infinity Surfaces interprets the theme of light through a surface inspired by metals, characterized by constant reflections, iridescence, and color variations that shift in appearance depending on the environment and the viewer’s perspective. Among the three versions in the Nacra collection (the others are Steel and Titan), Bronze embodies the warmest spirit, with amber, pinkish, and golden hues that harmonize beautifully with wood, stone, and other natural materials.

Laminam

Laminam has unveiled éxo, the concept kitchen designed by Andrea Federici. Three modules clad in Pietra di Grè — from the RARE collection — with DNA finish. Each module corresponds to a specific functional area: washing, cooking, and preparation coexist alongside spaces dedicated to snacking, cabinetry, storage, and preservation. These elements are autonomous and modular, while the materials and construction system allow them to be used even in hybrid spaces bwrqeen home and the outdoors.

Marmo Arredo

©Gian Luca Albertin

A technology that transforms a surface into an instrument of exploration. Arke Vitium is the result of the collaboration between Quartzforms®, Marmo Arredo, and Veneto Technology. The process begins with a specialized slab, which is cut and drilled according to a specific design, then placed into a machine where the texturizing phase takes place. It is during this stage that the material acquires its distinct physical identity: the patterns of veins and the subtle color variations characteristic of natural stone are reproduced with extreme precision — extending seamlessly even across the edges.

Neolith

Protagonist of the Neolith space were the five new surfaces from THE EDIT. A New Material Language: Pale Fossil, Glazed Opaline, Dorset Mist, Serene Emerald, and Calacatta Viola. The space also featured several practical applications of these new materials, designed to showcase their potential for design projects.

Rehau

Rehau’s seamless edgeband, RAUKANTEX pro, has evolved into a version designed specifically for kitchen environments. The 100% polymer functional layer that characterizes this edgebanding has been optimized to increase moisture resistance on critical surfaces, such as lacquered fronts. The new OMR3 (Optimized Moisture Resistance) functional layer formulation meets the requirements for water vapor resistance in “demanding” areas, such as those near cooktops, extractor hoods, and dishwashers.

Sapienstone

Breccia Rosa 4D by Sapienstone brings the logic of breach in the color. Inspired by a Veronese brecciated marble known as Breccia Pernice, its structure is built upon shades of antique rose, terracotta, and powder pink, traversed by irregular veins that convey the full, tangible power of the stone. Pink — a key color in contemporary design, fashion, and art — is transformed here into a rich, multi-layered material. Created using Iris Ceramica Group’s 4D technology, which allows the pattern to extend deep into the body of the slab rather than remaining solely on the surface, Breccia Rosa offers the same color intensity — from the exterior to the interior — ensuring visual coherence that remains intact even in finishing processing of shaped.

Schattdecor

At the heart of the presentation at Sicam was the "Simplify" concept, through which Schattdecor positions itself as a partner to the furniture and interior design industry by offering integrated, practical solutions. This approach coordinates technologies, expertise, and materials to support partners throughout every stage of a project—from the selection of decorative designs to the creation of finished surfaces.

Simeg

Simeg showcases its expertise in transforming any type of stone through innovative technologies and solutions, as demonstrated in a sophisticated kitchen design entirely clad in White Onyx. From the countertop — featuring an integrated, LED-backlit sink — to the cabinet doors and drawers, the onyx covers, defines, and envelops the entire space.

SM'Art

Sipario is the new collection from SM'Art; its name — inspired by stage curtains — is reflected in the distinctive alternation between striped sections and luminous surfaces, which create an engaging interplay of contrasts. An harmonious balance adding depth and vibrancy to the design, while highlighting the natural elegance of walnut wood.

Swiss Krono

Made To Connect is the new integrated system from Swiss Krono that unites decors, surfaces, and materials into a coherent design language, conceived to offer architects and designers maximum creative freedom. The collection features 28 decors in 42 variations — categorized into the "Uni," "Wood," and "Design" worlds — which can be paired with five new finishes developed to enhance their tactile, material quality. The system is completed by matching melamine-faced boards, HPL laminates, and ABS edge banding, enabling the creation of furnishing and interior design projects defined by aesthetic continuity, versatile application, and harmony in every detail.

Topstar

Ensuring the continuity of the veining across the surface — eliminating any visual interruption — and transforming the various components into a single design element: this was the objective of designer Andrea Federici in creating the Twelve Collection for Topstar. The countertop, basin, and faceted table feature no visible edges or thickness; instead, every surface merges into a continuous, monolithic volume that evokes the solidity of natural stone. It is a sculpted composition in which design, construction precision, and functionality coalesce into a unified design statement.
