Sicam 2026. The value of relationships

Positive results for the latest edition of Sicam, which confirms its strong product and relationship focus. Built-in solutions were also on display.

Carolina Giobbi, Head of Marketing and Communication at Sicam, has no doubts: “A trade fair can never exist in a digital format. It is impossible to replace face-to-face meetings, the exchange of ideas, and the relationships that often continue even after the event has concluded. Sicam is a trade fair specifically designed to foster all of this: low, open-plan stands, fluid pathways, carpeting, and spaces planned to facilitate dialogue. Everything is designed with a single goal in mind: to help the industry network and create new business opportunities.”

The figures for the 2026 edition confirm the value of this approach: over 24,100 trade visitors, 9,450 companies represented from 125 countries, and 698 exhibitors transformed Pordenone into an international meeting point for the entire furniture supply chain.

Is Sicam also a trade fair ttelling where the future of the furniture is going to?

Yes. Sicam is a trade fair strongly focused on products. Visiting the stands, one can get an early look at innovations, materials, finishes, and new trends. It is precisely components, accessories, and semi-finished products that give rise to what we will see in future furniture collections. This explains why, in addition to manufacturers in the sector, the event is increasingly visited by planners, architects, and designers — all of whom are interesting in understanding market developments and the solutions that will shape the design of the coming years.

Why does the Sicam formula work?

Our exhibitors are truly fond of the event. From the very beginning, our goal has been to create a high-quality, practical, and effective event. We have reached the maximum capacity of the exhibition venue, and we have no interest in further expanding the exhibition space. Instead, we prefer to continue investing in the quality of our services. We want both visitors and exhibitors to feel at home, finding an environment that is efficient, welcoming, and free from unnecessary, cumbersome structures. This is also why we developed and implemented our app —a tool designed to help organize meetings and plan visits. It is, of course, not mandatory, but rather an additional resource available to buyers and companies.

Looking to the future, what are Sicam’s goals?

Without any rhetoric, our goal is to ensure that Sicam is increasingly perceived as a welcoming space—a place that fosters relationships and showcases innovation and research initiatives. We aim to make a tangible contribution to the sector’s growth and support its ongoing evolution. This is also why we maintain a policy of keeping costs accessible: we want to serve as a true point of reference for the entire supply chain—a hub for growth, exchange, and the development of new projects. The atmosphere of pragmatism and optimism felt during the most recent edition confirms that we are moving in the right direction.

A relationship platform for the home appliance sector too

Confirming the value of the event as a platform for relationship with all stakeholders in the furniture supply chain— specifically within the kitchen sector— is the presence of home appliance brands among the exhibitors. and we are speaking both of international multinationals and "Made in Italy" labels, all of which view the event as a prime opportunity to connect with various distribution channels and kitchen manufacturers.
