L’Ottocento brings new stylistic codes in the kitchen

L’Ottocento redefines kitchen design with the Floral walnut boiserie and Virtus steel island

L’Ottocento kitchens celebrate the completely Italian sartorial manufacturing, combining elegance and efficiency. Wood, the protagonist of every creation and of a refined convivial spirit, finds - in the partnership with other fine materials - a new and timeless expressive mode.

An innovative design vision, interpreted by the kitchen environment with the Floral boiserie system that is completed with the new Virtus island, born from the collaboration of the company with Russo Sgarbossa designers: the harmonious dialogue among different material and chromatic choices becomes the leitmotif of an evocative atmosphere, a synthesis between classic and contemporary.

The enveloping Floral boiserie in walnut tells the story of the great work of high-end cabinetmaking, a distinctive feature of L’Ottocento artisan production. Made entirely of wood and at full height, Floral elegantly dresses the walls revealing a sophisticated mood, with linear features. Structured with internal compartments functional to kitchen operations, the boiserie is divided into opening doors to accommodate appliances, pantry spaces and shelves. A measured play of contrasts stands out in the central part, once the retractable doors are opened: in this area dedicated to washing, the brushed vintage steel covers the back and the walls, and is found again in the top and wall units.

The new Virtus island, completely in brushed vintage steel, coordinates with the niche. With an elegant austere flavor, mitigated by a refined aesthetic cleanliness, it happily marries with the materiality of the wood. It stands out for the smooth squared door, with a three-dimensional effect, on which the innovative and particular brass profile reveals itself as a useful handle for opening doors and drawers, underlining their shapes. Also in steel, with the same finish, the top combines aesthetics and functionality, allowing for practical use of the kitchen. Finally, two cylindrical bases interrupt the geometry of the island, which serve the function of passing the connections, giving lightness to the environment.
