The Zum Zeri kitchen by SCIC Italia

During the Milan Design Week 2026, SCIC Italia presented Evolving Outlines, a design journey that expresses a constantly evolving vision.

The Milan Design Week was an important occasion for SCIC Italia to present its new solutions that redefine the relationship between space, function, and aesthetics. Inside the Flagship Store at Via Durini 19, SCIC unveiled three new expressions of its research: the Zum Zeri model, designed by Anna and Enrico Cattaneo together with Studio Design SCIC; the new Rossena Outdoor kitchen, designed by Ballabeni & Catellani Studio; and the Night Collection, the line dedicated to the sleeping area, now enriched with new materials and configurations.

Zum Zeri: the armony of volume, material and detail

Zum Zeri is a kitchen that reflects SCIC’s design maturity. In this project every element contributes to defining a precise and recognizable composition. At the center of the space stands a large island conceived as a monolithic, sculptural volume, highlighted by an illuminated recessed profile that outlines its perimeter and enhances its architectural presence. Zum Zeri is characterized by rounded corners with a softer, more domestic dimension, easing the rigidity of the central block without altering its compositional balance. Designed by Anna and Enrico Cattaneo with Studio Design SCIC, the project is based on the dialogue between surfaces and materials: the natural quartzite top combines with the Metal Rock lacquered finish, enriched by leather inserts on the doors. The result is a composition that works both visually and tactilely, delivering a complete material experience.
