In a context in which Italy continues to strengthen its leadership at a global level, maintaining itself in the top 3 of all categories of the supply chain, with absolute primacy in the machinery and technology sector, Marmomac has officially opened the path towards the exhibition. In a press conference held in Milan, the management of Veronafiere anticipated the news of this year edition.

«Marmomac – commented the President Federico Bricolo – is much more than a trade fair: it is the international stage where natural stone becomes business, culture, innovation and relations. Veronafiere confirms its role as the world capital of the techno-stone sector, with a strategic event for one of the sectors of excellence of Made in Italy. A result made possible thanks to a system project involving companies, production districts, institutions and associations such as the Ministries of Made in Italy and Foreign Affairs, ICE-Agenzia and Confindustria Marmomacchine».

A global view

The general manager Adolfo Rebughini underlined the international role of the Fair. «Marmomac - he said - is our most international trade fair platform that can also count on the global projection and synergy of initiatives such as Marmomac Brazil and Cachoeiro Stone Fair and trade missions in target markets such as the United States and the Middle East. The 2025 edition has already confirmed exhibiting companies from 54 countries and we are working on targeted incoming actions, together with ICE-Agenzia, aimed at bringing operators, profiled buyers, architects and designers from all over the world to the Verona Fair».

The journey through the natural stone supply chain starts with the material: Marmomac was born as an event in which stone is told in its many lives, from the rough block to the finished work, enhancing the territorial identities, the production districts and the knowledge that accompanies the transformation process. Blocks, semi-finished products, slabs and design, like every year, form a spectacular natural installation, where the monumentality of the element is at the center.

After 15 years from its first presentation at the Venice Film Biennale, Marmomac has also chosen to celebrate stone and its natural beauty with a program of daily screenings of “Il Capo”, by Yuri Ancarani, filmed entirely in a marble quarry. The noises of the quarry also gives birth to the first playlist dedicated to the sounds of marble. From the extraction of the block, to the sawing, to the work in the laboratory, this new soundtrack not only tells the various phases of its processing, but also the very essence of the event.

Artisan know-how, the latest technologies and the most advanced machinery of the entire international stone production chain have their stage for four days on half of the exhibition area of the event, developing a real hub on the sciences and technologies applied to marble.
