Abimis stainless steel kitchens are proposed by the company in a new aesthetic version, using “CloudDancer”, the Pantone colour of the year for 2026. These kitchens, that are also available in glossy and matt lacquered finishes, are created using techniques borrowed from the automotive industry to ensure long-lasting results. This specific shade of white embellishes the soft, rounded silhouettes that define Ego, designed by Alberto Torsello as atribute to 1950s aesthetics, and softens the more squared and understated profile of Atelier, the second design family from Abimis. Bespoke and crafted in response to specific project requirements, the brand’s kitchens are available in a vast array of colours and are also freely configurable in terms of module configuration and integrated accessories, including professional grade. Some Abimis kitchens with CloudDancer tone have been choosen in different projects in Italy and abroud.
A white lacquered Ego in Naples
In Naples, within a sea-view apartment designed by architect Giuliano Andrea Dell’Uva, a white lacquered Ego island kitchen acts as a link between the mono chrome aesthetic of the room and the wall-mounted tall storage units in aquamarine hues, atribute to the location. Ego features contrasting details such as the collection’s signature rounded handles and a joint-free worktop with a raised non-drip edge, both in stainless steel, which provide rhythm to the pure, luminous surface. Complete with an induction hob with integrated hood, a single sink, a pop up electrical tower and a dishwasher, it conceals storage compartments with rounded corners or high-capacity drawers for organising utensils and crockery behind its doors.
The Abimis project in Essen
The particular Ego configuration for a residence in Essen presents a white lacquered solution combined with stainless steel operational blocks and tall storage units orbitally polished by hand, also crafted by Abimis. The specific shaping of the painted block is ergonomic and was studied in relation to the available space and the anticipated movements of the chef during preparation and dishing up. The worktop has in fact been concentrated on one side of the peninsula, with cooking elements (gas, induction ,and griddle) on the other for maximum practicality. Complete with drawers and pull-out work surfaces, it is also equipped with a food warmer, a professional-grade accessory that is essential also in high-performance private kitchens.
A wall-mounted version of Atelier in Lugano
The Atelier line is the choice for a project in a private residence in Lugano. Imagined as a natural continuation of the livingroom, the kitchen is set within a space with a distinctive L-shaped configuration, flooded with natural light thanks to large windows overlooking the private garden. Here, Atelier is presented in a wall-mounted version and a large-scale island measuring three metres in length. The island is equipped with a double sink, hob, Teppan Yaki grill, and a generous worktop, topped by a professional-grade ceiling hood. Against the wall, Atelier, again in a white glossy lacquered finish with contrasting stainless steel handles, brings together triple built-in ovens, larder compartments, and additional work surfaces into functional blocks and tall unit modules. Thanks to the inherent characteristics of the material, the kitchen is extremely easy to clean, hygienic, and suitable for food contact, whether in the lacquered version or the orbitally polished by handfinish selected for the worktops.
Near Treviso, a project with two configurations of the Atelier line
The Atelier line was also selected for a project in the province of Treviso, in two different configurations. The island block features a side panel facing the livingroom that has been orbitally polished by hand, embellished with a mirror polished finish profile requested by the customer. This continues through the opposite side panel, framing the white glossy lacquered doors with functional groove handles. Along the wall, Atelier presents an operational block complete with wall units and tall units, all finished in the same glossy achromatic shade. This composition also includes a worktop with an integrated double sink, induction hob, built-in oven, and various compartments (including pull-out versions) for accessories and food storage.
