Two new compositions have been presented by Ferruccio Laviani (and his Milan-based studio) for DoimoCucine. Working with the brand on its Art Direction since 2025, he presents two projects from the Impronta collection: Rima and Coro, both of his own design. The innovations from 2026 are presented in the Impronta book, featuring seven compositions, each offering a different interpretation of a diverse way of inhabiting space, using materials, proportions, functions and colour to build bespoke solutions, setting out from a common base.
Developed from All-arounD, the system that can be configured in its appearance, functions and modularity, Rima and Coro speak the same design language, while expressing two different interpretations. Two opposing styles, based on an island layout, and sharing a precise vision: transforming the kitchen from a product into a system.
Rima
Rima is a composition with a bar counter, characterised by an open storage element with a stone-like appearance. The design reinforces the idea of a dialogue between colour and material, modulating surfaces using the language of natural elements, in this case a range of marbles and woods. Each part responds to the other, through affinities and scale. Similar to a rhyme, the elements refer to one another and build a harmony of proportions, functions and colours. The countertop becomes a distinctive architectural sign, a presence that organises space and defines its rhythm: the open container, sharp and sculptural, introduces an almost lapidarian dimension, while the natural surfaces work through calibrated references, variations and contrasts.
In Rima, Bianco Carrara Marble, Premium Canaletto walnut veneer, Verde Alpi Glossy Mirror ceramic stoneware and Fenix NTM® Verde Comodoro create a domestic landscape in which the power of volume encounters the precision of detail. The result is a kitchen with character, founded a top visual and tactile equilibriums, where colour becomes scale and materials define depths, light and presence.
Coro
Coro, instead, interprets the kitchen as a space of relations. This composition features a monolithic island where everything operates in unison: the island, the boiserie, open shelving and the people who inhabit the kitchen, all participate in a shared equilibrium. Similar to a choir, each presence has a role, and together they build the harmony of coexistence.
The monolithic island is the heart of the composition, the operative and relational fulcrum. Around it, tall units, boiserie and open shelving define a continual system, where solids and voids, closed surfaces and open display units, technical functions and a convivial scale come together in a unified balance. The D12 tall unités and the island base units in Premium Biondo walnut veneer, the doors in Supersilver glass in 26x22 mm black aluminium frames, transparent glass shelves with GLASS light fixtures and a worktop in satin stainless steel, build a composition that is solid, luminous and welcoming.
