With the appointment of Michele De Lucchi, Triennale Milano stars a new phase of its story. De Lucchi will have the role of creative director of Triennale Milano and director of Museo del Design Italiano. The new role contributes to shaping Triennale's cultural direction, connecting research, innovation and responsibility through a multidisciplinary perspective.
Michele De Lucchi described Triennale as a “laboratory of vitality” and shared The Seven Aphorisms of Changing Design, a reflection on the role of design in the contemporary world. “The project is not a static act – he said –. Today more than ever, it is the creation of a positive scenario capable of guiding us through the great contradictions: between past and future, between the concrete and the virtual, between the human and the digital, between disciplines and divergent visions. I envision a path that leads us to build and inhabit the concept of a ‘sustainability of the collective imagination’.”
