Arrital launches Solaria, its first model of outdoor kitchen designed by Franco Driusso.

Premium technical materials with a distinctive and recognisable design are the main characteristics of Solaria, the first outdoor kitchen by Arrital. Designed by architect Franco Driusso, it has a patent and a design registration that are currently being filed. This kitchen in fact, has been engineered with advanced solutions to withstand all weather conditions – from heavy rain to the saline air of coastal.

Among the most interesting features of Solaria, we can mention its modular frame in AISI 316 steel, the gold standard for corrosion and weather resistance. Moreover, the frame with height-adjustable structure serves as a support for accessories such as a supplementary side table or parasol. The model is also equipped with integrated drainage system, with perforated steel channels between the base units and back panels to ensure proper water runoff and natural ventilation.

Regarding the aesthetics features, Solaria presents innovative technical finishes, with options including steel, porcelain stoneware, heat-treated ashwood, and an exclusive UV-resistant wrapping-system on the doors for both protection and stylistic customisation.

Ergonomic and modular solutions

With the aim of offering a very flexible kitchen, responding to the most common needs, Solaria was designed with intelligent solutions that optimise space and ensure a smooth, user-friendly experience. As Franco Driusso, designer of the project, explains: «We wanted a product genuinely conceived for outdoor use, without compromise. We studied materials, details and technical solutions to create a kitchen that is functional, durable and visually striking, and that at the same time reflects Arrital quality and identity».

Technical features

Solaria is available in two main configurations: freestanding single kitchen unit, ideal for terraces and gardens, with adjustable feet for adaptation to any flooring; and linear wall kitchen, conceived for more compact spaces, offering the possibility for non-invasive service connections. Each configuration allows for significant customisation of the layout, in line with Arrital’s design philosophy, thanks to its modular structure.

The modular elements with pull-out compartments and integrated storage allow to have full use of available space. Flush-fit sink cover, then, increases the usable worktop area by optimising surface space when the sink is not in use.

Professional and customisable cooking modules of Solaria include: Dual-temp Teppanyaki hot plate, induction or gas modules, complete with highly weather-resistant components.

Materials and finishes

Solaria is primarily composed of elements in AISI 316 steel, with the option for stylish personalisation. For tops, sides, back panels and lower surface is available the porcelain stoneware, while heat-treated ashwood, designed to withstand the elements, is applicable to the snack counter (6 cm thick) and lower-level shelf slats. Finally UV-resistant wrapping by 3M is available in three variants: Black micro, Brass effect, Corten texture.
