Abimis choosen for two interiors by Martin Brûlé Studio

Atelier and Ego collections by Abimis are part of two projects of Martin Brûlé Studio, in Paris and New York.

Two configurations of the Italian Abimis kitchen were chosen by interior designer Martin Brûlé for his new Parisian headquarters and a spacious loft overlooking 5th Avenue in New York, on commission. Both were customised in terms of equipment, accessories, and details, in line with the customer's needs.

The Abimis kitchens, made to order and custom-sized, the minimalist aesthetic that conceals high functionality, and the hand-crafted finishes meet the eclectic and sophisticated taste of the young Canadian creative talent, an international figure part of the prestigious 2025 AD100 ranking. His narrative, built on a balanced mix of styles, inserts from different eras, discreet opulence, unique and emblematic pieces, and a strong predilection for Art Deco, constructs the story of both projects, with deep visual roots in common.

Atelier kitchen for the project in Paris

The Atelier line customises the kitchen of the 100 m2 studio/pied-à-terre in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a Parisian 'arrondissement' packed with antique dealers and art galleries, with a wall configuration orbitally polished by hand. Martin Brûlé chose tall unit and wall unit storage modules with squared, hinged doors, and shelves of various depths openly to display everyday utensils. The backsplash of the worktop entirely covers the wall behind it, in perfect aesthetic continuity, while the double sink is integrated into the joint-free top. The black treated herringbone parquet flooring and the ivory texture on the wall complete the setting, which the same designer created by joining the two rooms that envelop the stainless steel kitchen.

In keeping with the uniformity of shapes pursued, in the operational areas dedicated to the team, Martin Brûlé opted for wall unit blocks with open compartments, storage cabinets, and a desk, complete with a technical wall panelling, all in the same finish as the kitchen block. All elements were custom-made by Abimis, leveraging its expertise in stainless steel processing and its ability to meet any design requirement.

Ego, the designer’s choice for New York

The Ego line, designed by Alberto Torsello, instead plays the starring role in the 1,000 m2 loft overlooking Central Park and 5th Avenue, in the heart of Manhattan. Here, the kitchen orbitally polished by hand unfolds between two wall elements and a significantly sized island. The first configuration is dedicated to cooking and is set into a wall made entirely of turquoise mottled marble, with varying shades and sizes of slabs – rectangular or square. Here, the built-in ovens, double sink, and other cooking elements combine with compartments featuring rounded flush doors and drawers, with high-capacity pull-out internal shelves for storing dishes and utensils.

The second wall block features induction hobs, a customised professional hood, a sink and shelves, all applied on a mirror-finish stainless steel cladding. The fixed knob handles, in the same finish as the two blocks, were designed by Martin Brûlé and also characterise the island, which incorporates a wine cellar. Here, the worktop is joint-free and features a raised non-drip edge, ideal for preparing and plating dishes to be served in the adjoining dining room on the south side of the loft, along with the living area, both rendered unique by precious antique and modern pieces, and a vibrant combination of velvets, silks, and satins in bright colours.
